A Flash of Green
The Green Flash is a refraction effect that separates the solar images by color. At just the
right instant, the red image has set, the yellow image is absorbed, the blue image is scattered away, and we are left with
the green image. This can occur at sunset and sunrise, when there are no clouds on the horizon where the sun is setting
